Hyped YA Books I Won’t Read

These are a few of the hyped YA books that I don’t see myself picking up and reading any time soon or even at all, for various reasons.
Have you read any of these books?
Do you think I should give any of these a go?
What hyped YA books don’t you want to read?

Six of Crows – I actually did try and read this, only a couple of chapters, and I just wasn’t feeling it and don’t feel the need to pick it back up, as loved as it is by many readers.

The Raven Boys – As much as I’ve seen this series talked about, nothing about it has made me intrigued enough to want to try and read them.

The Shadow Hunter series – I did read about half of the first book like 10 years ago but by now there are just so many books in this world that I don’t see myself revisiting it.

Daughter of Smoke & Bone – After reading Strange the Dreamer and it not being a favourite of mine, I feel no need to read this trilogy.

The Illuminae Files – Sci fi generally isn’t my thing, especially in fiction books. I have tried to read a few sci fi novels and have ended up DNFing most of them so I’ve just accepted that it’s just not my genre.

Next weeks post will be hyped YA books that I have read!

  1. Hmm Illuminae is probs one of my more favourite Sci-Fi and I also don’t love the genre… as for DOS&M… I personally enjoyed it more than the tiny bit of Strange the Dreamer I read, but I also loved it when I was quite a bit younger and despite actually being marketed as an adult book here in the UK, I don’t think I would enjoy it as much if I read it now.
